Hi to all Dreamboxers,Im thinking of buying aDM500,afriend has recommended a DM500 -T,is there such a model? Ihave only seen, DM-500-S MENTIONED IN THE FORUMS! Jolatacqce, TM,1500+.

A DB500 T is a Terrestrial ie freeveiw. not satellite.

Dream multimedua dont make the 5oos anymore so it will be a chinese clone,

S = satellite
T = Terrestrial
C = That word we do not speak of! C@ble

A 500-t is is of absolutely no use here in the Republic of Ireland because we don't have terrestrial digital yet. (Unless you live in one of the border areas where it can be picked up).

For some unknown reason, (Probably so that people wont be able to easily purchase hardware overseas, rather than the video compression benefits) the powers that be have decided that Terrestrial Digital will be in broadcast in MPEG-4 format when its introduced over the next 2 years, again the DM500 is not MPEG-4 compliant.

Most of western Europe uses MPEG-2 as far as I know.
