dm 800 clone image opinions?

sky digital, dreambox 500s using cccam 2.0.9 with gemini 4.2 image

hi im looking for image for a clone dm800 anyone with experience with a clone and have tried different images please shed some light on and guide me to which ones are safe to use on clone, thanks guys. also how do you know what bootloader you got??
 
Flash using the web interface, the bootloader version is shown at the bottom of the page. Use Nabilo blackhole 0.12
 
thanks is that clone friendly, you can flash from web interface?? is that the one now where i hold power button on box until ip appears and do it from there with nfi. extension image is it??
 
yes thats the way but have a look at the display when the machine boots and it will display the current bootloader and dont update it.
If your using a clone box you will have to use a patched image of Blackhole 0.12 which has an older bootloader.

With my expierience you can use any original image, just install image then flash bootloader 72 straight after, then your tuner modules, simple really, and better than patches!!!!!!!!!!
 
no there are special images for clones any image contain each bootloared as #7x so dont be surprized when your box will go down.
 
thanks for that big apple....but so far i have had no problems & its been a cuople of months now.!!!! Every time a used a patched image i have had freezing at lot of times, especially with HD channels....Now no problems. But like i said thanx for advice, i will know why if the box does go down...so far sooooo good though.:)

You say its better than using a patced image, but is this not what you are doing? Patching an original image. Just that the clone makers images have already had it done.
