I was wondering why they keep adding dfferent connections to electronic media. I noticed the DM 8000 has a DVI output for HD but my Toshiba TV only appears to have 2 HDMI inputs. But I haven't had a good look yet. I remember it s got an RGB input and common interface input with the usual 2 rows of jack inputs. So whats the best to use?

Dreambox don't have a licence to equip it with an HDMI output. A DVI - HDMI cable is used (which includes audio).

Thanks Llew, I suppose its almost as good. I was hoping to get a good deal for the 8000 full spec which is £1100 but the VAT is up soon so its deciding whether to spend now or hope the price may drop. Either that or get something less, but I always wish after I had gone for something better.
