DM500S Clone - Display flashing off

I've got a new DM500S clone I picked up new. I've tried 2 images on it now and have a problem where the display flicks off momentarily. The screen just goes completely black. It occurs randomly anywhere from every 1-60 seconds. It doesn't seem to matter what channel is selected, and it even happens in the menu system.

I'm using the scart output. The Scart cable is brand new, although I have nothing else to test it on.
The picture looks pretty normal when its not flickering.
Its connected to a Samsung LCD TV.

It seems most likely to me its a hardware fault in the box, but any ideas for software settings or TV settings before I send it back?

I am not sure what the problem is.
Did you try the original image? You better roll back to the origianl then didicde if it is a SW problem.
Also check if you have the same problem on another output like the composite video.
