There is talk of the above conversion being successfully completed (albeit with a few loose ends to tie up) on Sat-Ind.

Glorious days ahead for the 7000 then (if it's true)... :D

Hi 'sticky,

There was a big post on toes yesterday about the 7020 image. It made it sound so different from the 7000 images (an NFI or something similar instead of an IMG) that I did not think there would be the slightest bit of compatibility!!

However I don't think I would go for a 7020 if I had no DB at the moment. I'd still go for the dear old 7000. I mean, at the moment all there is, is an FTA image. How long before Hydra & Gemini etc start to work on 7020 images. So as for using 7020 images on a 7000, it could all be over before they start to mod them!! (If you see what I mean).

Go get yourself DMM 1.09 and the new Gemini 106 and rejoyce at owning a 7000 NOW!!

73 & happy dreaming.

LOL, there is a 7020 to 7000 conversion script from NFI to IMG up and running now. Only a few minor gripes to sort out. In 12 months time there may only be 7020 images, but with all the major headaches solved, the 7000 has a long future in prospect.

Read that thread, but I'm wondering what advantages there are likely to be in using the 7020 image? Anyone know?

The Hydra team only support the latest images - updates etc - so this may be one advantage?
