Does the DStv satellite reach Lebanon(I want to pick up the MultiChoice channels if there is a satellite that transmites them to Lebanon then I would like to know about it)

What is the degree of Dstv & where is its footprint & what are its transponders?I searched the internet but couldn't find them.If somebody could give them to me I would be thankful

Hi,:)

Yes it does! In C - band, for sure and then it would be DStv Africa ( not DStv South Africa).

Hi the footprint is here _http://www.lyngsat-maps.com/maps/intel10_c.html

And the transponders are:

3716V SR 20600
3744V SR 20600
3836V SR 20600
3863V SR 20600

Thanks guys.

divibi is DStv Africa different from DStv South Africa?

Markjose is Intelsat 10 the same satellite as DStv Satellite? Why the different Names?

Hope you have room for a big dish - you are going to need something around 1.8m in Lebanon for those C-band signals

Yes it is the same just it is the name of the satellite ,your receiver should say intelsat 10 as long as you search them frequencies you should pick up DSTV fine.

Yes Analoguesat I have a 2meter 10 cm dish but I don't seem to pick up Intelsat 10.

Thanks again Markjose.

daisky, you wont receive them signals unless you have a cband lnb on the dish

what are you currently using the dish for ?

Wod I am no expert I don't know exactly what you are talking about but I use it to pick up satellites like Nilesat ,Hotbird & Astra 2A & the like & watch them on TV (ofcourse via a receiver).

Yes, it is different. For a start in the "All Africa and Europe" version there are no South African public channels and may not be any South African local programmes and local sports- but I don't know, maybe there are. But in the "all Africa and Europe" version you shouldn't be worse off as after all it's a premium content tv package, too.
We really need to hear from a subscriber.
