Advice Needed Does this sound like LNB failure?

Just fired up the "office" sat systems and found that the TD110 + Inverto Black Twin combo is behaving oddly. Using both the TM 5402 M3 and the FreeSat 7HD ("fag packet"), the dish seems to be moving OK, and I'm getting decent Signal Strength and SQ readings showing on both RX's - but no sound or vision on either, even on strong 28E channels. (Initially, I thought it was the fag packet, but then got the same issues on the TM)

I'm assuming this is some sort of LNB failure and it looks like I'll have to change the LNB later today, but what might have caused the problem because everything seemed OK around this time yesterday (although I seem to remember similar symptoms yesterday evening when it took several attempts to get some channels to display images)?

Ten gets one the F connector at the motor end of the cable from the LNB has become loose as the result of repeating panning of the dish.

(Doesn't explain your apparently decent SS and SQ readings but then again we can't assimilate the whole picture ('scuse the pun!) sitting behind a keyboard. Simple job to check, though, before going to the trouble of replacing the LNB)

Could be so, and will go and check now (if it is loose, chances are that that's the damned silicone grease I put inside the F-connector to stop the water getting in:-doh!)
 
Been down to the TD110:
- both F-connectors on the motor were tight
- moved the LNB F-connector (and changed it because it "came off in my hand, Honest, Guv"!) from one section of the twin to the other.

Came back indoors, and still no sound or vision on 28E, or, it now seems, on channels on any sat West of 19E - but fine all the way from 19E to Cherifla on 31.5W with the TM.

Now may be looking like a possible motor failure as it seems that it won't drive beyond 19E - but still to check with the fag packet (won't be able to do any more until I come back from this afternoon's U3A Photo Group mtg - I run it, so gotta be there!).
 
I have found that changing Receivers around can confuse a DiSEqC motor ........ try resetting the latter, if such a facility exists.
 
Back again (On THIS planet :)).

Whilst I was out, using the fag packet, I left it supposedly scanning 21.5E - having now checked what I got, it seems that the motor (Alsat Superior Dark Motor - supposedly the same as the one under the TD88, and from the same supplier) still won't go any further East than 19E because all I got were channels on that set of sats.

Clutching at straws a bit, but you never know .....

The Superior Dark motor under the TD110 has "done the same thing" as the other one, this time driven by the "fag packet" (again!) and wouldn't move further East than 39E (checked with the TM and that confirmed the "failure"). Time for a reset at the motor itself tomorrow morning" :(.
Seems like this type of motor is "flaky", and/or the "fag packet" must be sending some corrupted USALS commands at times!:rolleyes:
 
Do you have images of the motor under suspicion?
 
I can't remember if this was one with a three digit display on the top
