Dreambox 8000 keeps crashing...

Motorized
LNB with 2 outputs, 2nd output leading to upstairs and using Dreambox 500S.
Pioneer VSX-1018AH-K Amp/Receiver,

I have just had the new dreambox ellite 'blackhole' image put on my 8000, it keeps crashing on 2 things I try to do...
1. Crashes when I try to record
2. Crashes when I go to satfinder to put my dish to 28.2 east so that I can view sky channels on my 500s upstairs, (the setup i have is, I have a motorised dish connected to tuner A on the 8000 and a fixed mini dish connected to tuner B on the 8000 also, I have a twin lnb on my motorised dish, the 2nd output on the lnb is going to my 500s in my room upstairs..
 
1. Have you setup your storage devices in the Device manager after flashing the box as explained by Dream-Elite.
2. What is your tuner configuration ?
 
Hi, my tuner setup is:
Tuner A: Positioner: USALS (with satellites 30.0W to 39.0E scanned in
Tuner B: Single Sats: Astra 2/Eurobird 1 (28.2E)

when I go to setup, soon as I exit the green crash screen comes on..

Also, when I try to record, the green crash screen comes on...
Tried mounting the hdd in device manager and as soon as I press red button a green crash screen comes on yet again...
 
Have you changed the skin to something other than the default? A lot of times crashes are down to problems with skins.
 
Skin is still set to default setting, as anything I am not sure about I just leave
 
Any suggestions?
 
I would suggest that you report the problem on the Dream-Elite forum.

In the mean time, try a different image, even an older DE one if you can find it.

There is no harm in trying a different skin before to re-flashing the receiver.
 
Just to let you know, reflashed the box and reinstalled dreambox elite, everything seems ok now (touch wood) lol
 
I have the same problem on my 8000 when i download the picon images then the only way i can get it to come back on it re flash it. It does my head in, has anyone had this problem
