Any views on the Dreambox DM 7020 HD. I had the DM 8000 but never used it to its full extent, certainly never had any use for 4 tuner slots.

Yes great spec receiver, but priced a bit high considering what else is on the market nowadays. For instance the VU+ Range and Xtrend range.

take a look at the vu+ duo or the newer models and also the clarke tech et-9000 which I am thinking of buying.

The Clarke-Tech ET9000 is OEM, the Xtrend ET9000 is ODM ;) Also dont be fooled by the Clarke-Tech ET9100, its being advertised as a new model replacing the ET9000, its NOT, it's identical and just re-branded.

interesting I thought it was clarke tech that was the actual manufacturer of the et9000, I'm interested in it due to the blind scan hardware in it which I understand the vix image now supports.

Yes the ViX image does support blindscan. Also loads of work going on in the background to introduce a newer linux kernal on the ET5000 and ET9000.
