Dear Community,

I have been been trying to enable the magic for some time now, and I believe now is a good time for me to ask for some help. I have a DB 7020, USB (Gemini 3.1, Da Vinci 2.7 & 2.8)


I"ll explain my latest procedure and I would appreciate some help/comments as to what I am doing wrong:

- Load Gemini (also tried with Da Vinci, luv it)

- Load Evocamd 2.11 EMU (also tried Camd3) from blue panel & CHMOD it from DCC.

- FTP (with DCC) satan bundle (tar.gz in the /tmp folder) via manual addon. Also tried direct FTP (k & scce). Tried other bundles earlier (sin..).

- CHMOD 755 all ks & scce files (right click on the file(s), attributes & 755)

- FTP camd_cfg (4 evocamd) from JFK, mod with it with chmod' it. Modified it according to (keys in the blue panel) thread.

- Reboot but no magic:mad:... Well only for 30 secs everytime I reboot (type of thing)

Questions?

- Did I miss a step?
- Do u know when u need to chmod, 'cause I chmod th'm all!
- Need to read more?
- Sell my DB (please say no)?

I managed to get t#s n prem for 3 days this week, eventhough I'd like to learn portuguese (c#bo) * some point (soon). am seriously considering cs * this point.

+ France vs Italy on wesdnesday this week (footy, 13e), so I'd luv to get sort by then. We deserved it really...

press the blue button.....what is your cam selected?

also look on alsat and 'dudez forums for the t-s autoupdater and I use sins k*y bundles usually ...
 
Do you have a copy of the latest TPS_AES.txt in var/keys? e.g. the latest week long version? If not go to one of the sites listed in "The usual places".

Also, check the URL in camd_cdf is still working (open it in notepad).

p.s. better still I'll give you £20 for your obviously broken Deambox. can't say fairer than that Guvnor!

Thanks for the support guys. It is what I thought, I do not seem to do anything wrong... OK, here is my latest attempt (this morning):

- Load nice and fresh Gemini 3.10 on multiboot with flashwizard pro 6.3
- Load evocam 2.11 via blue panel
- Select evocam 2.11 in blue panel
- Download satan bundle (from scorpion - 020906)
- FTP (with DCC) bundle: tar.gz file to var/tmp
- CHMOD to 755 tar.gz
- Manual addon from blue panel
- Check it loads to keys & scce. Yes I have a copy of TPS_AES.txt in there
- CHMOD every files to 755 attribute

Result:
- t*s, multivision works for a few minutes

Extra steps:
- load "Camd_cfg" Evocamd version27 from JKF forum
- Ultra edit it to change the latest lines to:
wwwtps = http://www.vnsupport.org/aes/linuxkeys.php
wwwtps_offset = 12
& Also:
# AU
A: { 02 }

- Load Camd_cfg to the keys section using DCC
- CHMOD 755 Camd_cfg
-Reboot

Result: Nothing on t-s :-DOH!

 I believe I have done more than enough to get it up and running.

I am going to try another t-s updaters (from 'dudez), change T-S_AES.txt & camd3 this afternoon.

* mhku, £20... :-rofl2 not that desperate yet. Maybe by the end of today though!

 I send this post, eventhough I don't think you can suggest much more than what you have already done. Still, any clues are more than welcome?

Note: I have an original 7020 flashImage (2.6.9) on the flash. Do I need to change that?

Have you got the 0/1- 07/09 tps_aes.txt? What is the date on your file (unzip it to your pc and read the file date)?

I think that camd_cfg URL doesn't work- try the Tofleboss one.

Got the satan bundle from scorpionsat, 020906. On the tps_aes.txt, it says last mod was 280606... Strange!

Uploaded the 0/1- 07/09 file from JKF to my DB.
Uploaded the camd_cfg (ver.27) containing the URL you mentioned.

prem & tps not cleared. I am going to try another bundle I had earlier this week which worked for 3 days, and I'll change these 2 files (tps_aes.txt & camd_cfg) with the updated versions.

I have to say that we might strike a deal at this rate: I am risking to get divorsed & loose my family over this if it carries on like that.
 
so far:
- copied "AES keys week 36" into a file named tps_aes.txt. FTPed to DB & replaced previous file.
- Restart evocamd
- t-s cleared for 2mins

- Downloaded satan plugin
- FTP's both Satankeyupdater.sh & Satankeyupdater.cfg to DB under (k"ys)
- Is it how you should do it?

CHMOD IT ALL to 755

- Restart evocamd, nothing on t#s & prem
- Reboot DB, restart evocamd
t#s got baby TV, cnbc, itélé, mezzo, motors, mtv, sailing but no multivision & the rest. Prem: nothing


There is some progress, enough to keep me hanging... No sure what to make of it though...

Copy the satan files to var/tuxbox/plugins and chmod 755

You can now update your keys from blue button > plugins (can take a minute or so).

My tps is also a bit odd- works for 20 mins and then sticks then goes. Looking at the timestamp camd_cfg is updating tps_aes.txt and not using the existing tps_aes

Did you edit the url in camd_cfg to the tofleboss one?

If your keys are up to date Prem & MTV2 on 19.2e will be clearing. evocamd is running yes? do a restart after any file amends.

I do not seem to have the same path that you specified. I have attached a couple of pictures of what I have inside var & etc/tuxbox. Looked for the pluggins extension, but cannot find it. So I have not uploaded Satankeyupdater yet (apart from inside keys since I did it previously).


here is what I got inside camd_cfg:

tps_offset was set at 0 & I changed it to 12. Is that the timestamp you mentionned?

Is that for da vinci? Your use USB so you have a different folder structure to me. plugins go in a folder called plugins- there is also a lib/tuxbox/plugins but mine is read-only

I don't know what the offset does.

EDIT:

Try this. Rename camd_cfg to camd_cfg_

Re-copy tps_aes.txt to var/keys

Restart evocamd. But if Prem or MTV are not clearing on 19.2 then something else is wrong.
 
Well today I have been working exclusively with Gemini today.

Cannot find any folder called pluggins'O'-red. & also no lib/tuxbox/plugins...

Otherwise
- Renamed camd_cfg to camd_cfg_
- recopied tps_aes.txt to keys (not in var though, see picture for my key path: right at the beginning)

no prem, on MTV only got both VH1 channels & mtv2 europe. on t"s, same as before only a few channels.

I have enough for today to be honnest:-bash, I might give it a go later today or this week. Going to watch the football now (on bbc).

I am watching this with great interest as I am having exactly the same probs as dlemaire. I too have Gemini 3.10, cam3d.880c & evocam 2.7. and the AU files + satanbundle and still no go. A couple of mins of TPS is all * the moment other than with my Dragon.

If you use the weekly tps_aes.txt don't use the updater (camd_cfg) as it will overwrite tps_aes.txt and will freeze the picture.

Use one or the other, not both.
 
am back... Cannot stay away from it for too long 'cause it's really bugging me.

[at] Dave3dg: I am sorry you have the same problem, but I am also glad I am not the only one...;) It motivates me


Result so far: Most of prem cleared, mtv (19e) only few channels, t"s same only a few channels (tv baby etc...)

Here is what I did:

- Copied my bundle (k n scce which is in gemini) on into a file on my desktop.
- Start Da Vinci 5.8 (:D)
- FTP bundle from my desktop to DB

satan updater (plugin):
- Copied the 2 files onto DB since I now I have the right path: var/tuxbox/plugins
- CHMOD 755 everything (including cam in var/bin)

Could you let me know what plugin title should I look for, because I do not find any satan updater plugins in there...

The satan plugin is called " satan keys".

If TPS isn't clearing you don't have the latest tps_aes (you can get it from satscreen, paytv and starwarsbar and jfk where it's called aesdatabase). rename or delete camd_cfg and restart evocamd after uploading tps_aes.txt again (just in case camd_cfg has written to it).

It's not a problem- it's an opportunity.

Found the answer to my question, it's under the yellow button.

OK so uploaded it and I get a message (from satankeyupdater.sh)and part of it is saying:

cannot create directory /var/keys: File exists
cannot create directory /var/scce: File exists
"""""""
I erased these 2 files (from DCC) and see what happens. Next uploading from yellow button. This pluggin creates k & scce files.

Magic enabled for 1-2 minutes on t"s... Again got most of premiere & some of mtv (19e).

CHMOD 755 all these files, root DB... Still the same



Summary what I have and how to get there:

- Original image in flash
- Da Vinci on multiboot
- Download satankeyupdater (from previous link in this thread) and FTP it to var/tuxbox/plugins
- Erase keys file & scce files under var by using DCC
- yellow button & satan k#ys
- CHMOD 755
- Reboot DB


satan plugin create the keys & scce files. It should work completely (premiere, mtv (19e), tps & maybe more??) for most of u guys, but it is not complete (t#s) for me. t#p only 30 secs here and there...

I am going to follow your suggestions mhku & I'll keep satellites.co.uk updated!
 
You just deleted all your keys. Next time don't delete var/keys and var/scce

That "can't create" error message is because they already exist and the programmer didn't use a "if exists (folder)" type syntax.

Please feel free to do what you like and ignore what I suggest ;) - I get it wrong as well.

But... the only thing I can see (guess) why TPS isn't working and how to fix it:

1. delete or rename camd_cfg (I think you already did this!)
2. delete tps_aes.txt (I think you already did this!)
3. copy the 01/09 tps_aes.txt to var/keys
4. restart evocamd

Then when you get it working- TPS isn't that great. D+ and most of 30W (Cabo) is much better but not open atm.
