Now that my Funcard is working almost to my satisfaction, I'd like to try some more experiments with other cards.

Will my Multiprogrammer version 3.5 put DS9 5 in 1 files on to a silver card? Will the card then work in my patched Humax 5400?

Will DS9 work on a gold card?

No problem. The goldwafer doesn't have enough memory and procesing power to support multiple systems and that many providers. The DS9 works on the pic 16F876 with 24C64 eprom. You can have it in SMD format (Piccard II) or waffer (Silvercard). Also if you like experimenting there is the more exotic Jupiter II Pluto (I'm looking myself for software on that one :))

I like experimenting even more than watching the results on the television. My wife, however, does not share my enthusiasm and is likely to offer some caustic comment if I want to try my new idea in the middle of one of her 6 hanky weepies. I'm not suggesting that my mariiage is in danger over satellite issues, but my conjugal rights may be.

But I'd still like to hear of the results of your investigations.

Help, please.

Got my Silvercard in the post this morning, got my multiprogrammer connected to my pc, downloaded DS9 files to my hard disk, but can't transfer files to card. The software I've tried so far MP6, MP7, Chipcat, PICBINED don't seem to recognise the card. Am I doing something wrong, or should I be using different software?

Try the New MP8 Wolsty, just done a funcard with it and it recognised the card.

http://www.adteknik.se/english/program.html This is the link to Adteknic, but it appears that the MP8 doesn't do everything yet. There are a couple of other programs on the download page as well which might help.

At least it will keep me quiet for the afternoon.

MP8 worked wonders with the Funcard. Nagravision now decrypting perfectly. Still having problems with the Silvercard, though. An error message relating to the address comes up very early when using DosProg 2.8. But I'll persevere. Is there any software which will allow me to read the Silvercard and erase the entire contents?

Off to enjoy the fruits of my labours, drink a beer and veg out.

I've just dropped cork-legged. I thought I'd have one more try before packing up for the night and I've managed to program DS9 onto the Silvercard using DosProg 2.8. I didn't change any settings but, for reasons entirely beyond my comprehension, the software worked without a hitch. At least I won't lie awake wondering how to fettle the job tomorrow.

Thanks, guys, for all your help.
