Digital switchover commenced today (30/03/11) in the west Anglia region for the main Sandy Heath transmitter and Darlington Park, Kempton and Luton relays.

First stage was completed at approx. 06:00, and saw the PBS1 mux at full power on C27 (522MHz), replacing BBC2 analogue.

At last I have a decent signal for the BBC4 channel, which sits on C67 (842MHz) and was a rather low signal where I am.

Second stage commences in two weeks' time, removing all analogue channels for a full digital switchover. Time then to test BBCB Mux for the BBC HD channel :)

On 23/11/11 Channel 52 ArqA now in operation, with the bouquet previously on Channel 67; this is now redundant anticipating the start of 4G broadband services in the 800MHz band.

I think all muxes are now on full power, certainly strong here in Cambridge.

In April 2012 CH31 will move to CH51 when the London analogue channels close.

Yes Llew, Cambridge has a stonking signal; installed a few IRS systems there. Signals here in N'ton are being received fairly good. Thanks for the update.
