Hi guys,

I want to use DVB S USB card as sat meter instead of just buying cheap beeper meters or wasting money on expensive LCD sat finders.

I am deciding between TBS Q Box DVB-S usb and Technisat Skystar USB 2.

Does anyone have an experience with finding satellites using these cards. Do they recognize different satellites and show signal strenght levels for fine tuning?

Any recommendation which one should I go for? Skystar is about £25 more expensive, is it worth the money?

Many thanks,

Dex

The Fastsatfinder program worked with my Skystar 2 pci card. I would think it would also work with the USB version.

But check for working devices here -
