Does anyone have a manual for this? At least the pages that show how to access MAC menu. I received a generic replacement remote but no buttons actually get me into the MAC menu....

I still have my SR8700 Manual CJ, which AFAIK differs only in provision of Scarts and UHF remote working. It was the precursor to the LT.

Looking at the D/D2MAC decoder section in the manual, there is mention of MENU key features (I only had a Videocrypt decoder, never a DMAC one).

If it's any help,it says pushing the MENU key once activates the D/D2MAC features menu on the screen; but I would think you've tried that?

Brings up D(2) MAC Features:

1- Extra Features
2- Video
3- Audio
4- Custom Options
Select 1-4 Or Cancel.

Hm the menu key brings up the main non-MAC menu. Buried within that are some very basic settings for MAC, like screen size and subtitle language. Pressing some other key while tuned to a MAC broadcast brings up a card menu. However, none of them bring up one that would allow me to adjust things like brightness or access MAC meter level (which only appears once when you change the channel).

My remote isn't original so it could very well be that it's missing some of buttons...?

Any chance of taking a picture of the relevant pages? Maybe there are some screenshots...?

There's several pages relevant to the MAC decoder. I'll grab some shots of them, but it'll be tomorrow now. Hope that's OK.

Pages I have on the D/D2MAC in my manual -

Thank you Llew! I will try this again. I could not get this main menu up.

Is there anything else on MAC? Like how to get to any service menus?

Better still, I can dropbox the LT8700 User manual if you want, which I have just found on a drive.

Yes please! There are so many options and I don't know what most of them do.

I'll ping my email in a PM.

Thanks again, Llew. The MAC function in the PDF version you supplied seems different and information within that did allow me to get to colour/brightness parts.

Blimey, who's still using Eurocrypt

Or is that a recording you've saved for posterity?

I wasn't aware that d/d2-mac was still in use either. As I remember once the d2-mac channels disappeared from astra 19.2E the only places you could pick it up was at Sirius and Thor satellites and they all disappeared about 10 or more years ago.
