Hi Guys

I managed to open my sky card on dm800 with the smargo, however am getting ECM times of 0.165 whilst someone with the same config is gettin 0.99-0.100ms

Any solution pls

Are you really finding that ecm time a problem ?
How much picture break up are you getting ?

No But not such about other friend who is connected to that card

That ecm time is perfectly fine. The only problem that could cause friends to get freezeing would be the ping to you. As long as the time is below 0.500, then you should have no breakup. So that gives plenty of time for them to ask you and get a reply...

Hi

I agree with this issue. If you have a low ecm time, you have much more margin to share ecm over the network without freeze: client receive ecm with a timing that is : ecm local time + network latency

Local ecm time depends from how much are you overclocking your card.
If you have a Nds2 sky ITA you can reach 7,5 mhz without any problem (lowering ecm time)

If you have Nds3 sky Ita , it's better you sto to 5,5 Mhz (or you can risk to burn it...)

Im running at 3.43 Mhz..what shall i do?

I can help if you answer to these:

Have you got a Nds2 or Nds3 card ?

(Sky ita ?)

Are you using CCcam or newcs to read the card?

Ok

So you can add , in yout Cccam.cfg the following line, where you have

SERIAL READER : /dev/usb/tts/0 smartreader+

just add:

SMARTCARD CLOCK FREQUENCY: /dev/usb/tts/0 5250000

or try

SMARTCARD CLOCK FREQUENCY: /dev/usb/tts/0 5300000

or
SMARTCARD CLOCK FREQUENCY: /dev/usb/tts/0 5600000

but not more... or your card will overheat

This is only for 1 slot, if you use the other one, just change to
/dev/usb/tts/1 the strings

A moment in Italian: estrai la scheda dopo qualche minuto e vedi se scalda troppo...

Let me know which ecm you reach. You can low a lot the ecm time :)

has anyone tested these speeds?

I tested with success up to
SMARTCARD CLOCK FREQUENCY: /dev/usb/tts/0 7500000

Ecm times:
3,5Mhz around 240-250ms
7,5Mhz arounf 120-130ms

But I'm using a Nds2 SkyIta card, with internal card reader (7020).
The card is fresh :)
