Dear Friends, I just bought an Edision Primo IP S2 box, and I ran into a problem that I cannot really understand. When tuning into the T2-MI stations on 40 East I can receive a number of streams that, if not encrypted, give me perfect pictures. But then there are many streams that all give me 84% strenth with 100% quality but fail to deliver any station when scanned. That's a.o. true for many frequencies above 3700 MHz. So my question: is this a normal phenomenon, is there something incompatible between the box and for instance the St. Petersburg streams on 3915 L transponder or is there something wrong with my sample of this box? There was a load of nonsense in the original database for this satellite so I erased all transponders and did a blind scan of my own which delivered pretty much the data Lyngsat lists with regards to these transponders. But I'm only successful in my searches for channels at 3563L, 3566L, 3589R, 3593R, 3616R, 3665L and 3685L. I use a 3 metre Unimesh dish so there relly isn't any lack of signal as I already indicated. Is there anyone who can either confirm my experiences or indicate that there's something wrong with my receiver so I may return it as partially defective? BTW, I do experience certain other issues, like after using the Installation menu I often seem to loose the satellite signal when I go to the to the regular channel list. Also the signal disappears when I try to add a new transponder to an already existing satellite, for instance when I wanted to add the two new Italian streams on 5 West. Another remarkable fact is that scans on 12564V and 12690V do NOT pick up any of the many radio stations, just TV although I select TV/Radio "All" when scanning these two 5 West transponders. I don't think I'm doing anything wrong but just in case... anyone with the same experiences?
