In my clone, u2c denys, It works too, but if I try to change channels, pixels start going Mad....
 
No Channel change problems at all for the Primo :Y
 
Another neat trick, you can listen to a radio channel on the TV then stream a TV channnel to VLC all at the same time as long as they are on the same transponder.
 
For 50 sovs, this is good kit :cool:
 
I have set up streaming too, updated vlc and all is good!! Thanks to all :)
 
Updated vlc from 3.0.2 64-bit to version 3.0.3 64-bit, and streaming wouldn't work properly, so went back to 3.0.0 64-bit.
 
Another way to easily test thе streaming from Primo is to use a Live DVD ( or USB flash stick) and boot from it.
I did it with PCLinuxOS KDE and it works fine without installation.
By choosing the option "Copy to RAM", when Linux is ready VLC 3.0.3 is already in the menu.
During the test, the power supply to the computer's hard drive was stopped.
 
I've got streaming working via VLC where the channel chosen on the VLC playlist. Is it possible to have VLC continuously stream whatever is being viewed on the Primo and use the remote to change channels? Is that possible on any receiver?

I use VLC to squish the video to 32:9 and align it to the top of the frame (so it's like top and bottom 3D, but the bottom half is black), then on the connected TV select manual 3D top and bottom and voila, motion clarity is vastly improved at the expense of brightness. This works on any active 3D TV (battery powered glasses). On an LCD/LED it reduces the persistence by half, like a black frame insertion mode. On a 3D plasma it makes it a true 50hz display and not double scan 100hz, looks superb but having to use VLC to change the channel is clunky.
