Edit of previous post?

Hi,
I have noticed recently that there is no button to edit a previous post. So if I make a slight mistake I can't go back and change it.

Am I doing something wrong, or is this facility been removed?:confused:

There's a time limit on editing previous posts. Think it's about a week or so. Any older and they're fixed in stone.

Yeah, I knew there was a limit, but I can't edit a previous post at all.
 
To clarify this, you have a day to edit your post, if you spot something really critical that needs editing after that stage, then PM a mod.

Are mods advised to clear up bad grammar as well? This is quite ironic coming from me!
 
Nope, I will edit to correct an obvious typo if it makes a thread title meaningless, or would make it difficult to search for the item, but otherwise 'tis up to the member to edit his own posts. :)

I have just noticed my "Posting Rules" and it says-

You may not post attachments
You may not edit your posts.

Is there is any reason for this?

If not, please could you make it so that I can do these things

On which thread/forum did it say this?

All registered members can post attachments, but some specific sections may not allow it, or posts over 24hrs old.

On this forum. On every thread.

There is a box when I scroll right down on the left hand side that says:-

Posting Rules

You may post new threads
You may post replies
You may not post attachments
You may not edit your posts

also in the same box there is:-

vB code is On
Smilies are On
code is On
HTML code is Off
Trackbacks are Off
Pingbacks are Off
Refbacks are Off
