I've done a forum search for 'edit channel names' and 'changing channel names', but the numerous hits don't seem to address the same issue.

Can't find it in the manual either.

One of my channels according to the list of channels in Dreambox 8000 is called Äïöë Ϸ. Not very intelligible to me. It's a Cyriotic TV channel I think. The TV logo is BOY ΛH (which might transliterate as something like Boulah).

Is it possible to edit channel names?:confused

If so, can anybody give me a shove in the right direction?

Thats Voulis the Greek parliamentary channel.

You can edit channel names using Dreamboxedit if thats suitable for 8000's, and on my old 7020 you can edit names in the service menu

Perhaps there is a way to force Unicode or UTF-8 so the Cyrillic, Greek, Georgian, etc, scripts are sensible and channel identification will be much easier.

OK, thanks. I've already downloaded the software, and I see if it doesn't work on the 8000 box too!

Cheers
