Interesting, yet outdated, most LED designs that are decently designed are flicker-free (even with a camera with a fast shutter at work), of the 8 LED filament bulbs I've bought, one has had bad flicker, and that was remedied with a capacitor across the DC side of the circuit (but it's a pretty rubbish colour so is probably for outdoor use in an outdoor light)... :)

All my other LED filament bulbs have been subject to being stared at by my camcorder with the exposure and shutter settings set high and fast and there's naff all flicker, which is incredible for something made in a certain far-eastern country known for being purveyors of poor quality products... :D
 
So, in spASDA just now picking up baby milk when I spied on one of their promotional ends LED bulbs, their own branded ones with the promise being "we pay the VAT on these LED bulbs". So I had a quick scan to see if they carried a 100W equivalent model and how much it was (Because the dark evenings are getting wild up here and I think am getting that SAD because its bloody depressing I can tell you! [emoji18]). As usual the " good" people at Walmark are talking sh#t again, a tenner for a 60W equivalent bulb which is the same price bar a penny as Morrisons and they sell Osram brand LED bulbs, so wheres the saving you lying fud pieces? Typical with them, getting back to the case in point, its actually quite hard to pic up a 100W equivalent LED bulb, my local B&Q only has 60W versions also. Online time for a single bulb??? The world we live in!

This person takes new design bulbs apart and has many snippets on the channel, there is bound to be a programme or two with the 100W version that suits you.

 
I got a 100W replacement LED, Made by TCP (A lot of shops getting this brand in) very pleased with the colour & strength of light it emits, also it is dimmable which is new to me, quoted est life is 25,000 hrs, 2700 Kelvin warm white is the light scale it says it is also. At £9 am very pleased with it, a very overcast day it is today, might be on soon!

I ordered a couple of 10w floodlights this morning, based on one of today's bigclivedotcom videos:


At about £3 a piece, they're worth playing with... :D

Indeed, despite the need to rewire it, it's not too bad a price if they work...:D

I wanted to buy two of each colour, but they sold out of the cool-white while I was watching the video!! :-doh
 
Where are they being sold for £3 odd? I've just looked on the Bay of E's without success. Or maybe I'm not using the right search parameters?

That's cos you have to click the Youtube button on the embedded player to open it up on Youtube to click the link in the description that's on Youtube... :-rofl2
 
I just picked up some LED 60 watters at Home Depot for $3.99 a two pack, that's 1.29 of your pounds each, a good deal, bought several packs.
 
And you're absolutely right. Never have and probably never will!
