Shortly planning a trip to Cologne and think I need a badge for the car. Is there an official site? I've seen one called environmentalbadge.com, but am concerned it may be another parasite like those that look official like those that charge for the privilege of taxing your car.
Thanks

What do you want the badge to suggest your vehicle does, or does not?

I think this is the same sort of badge you need in France (and possibly elsewhere) to show which European ("Euro 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6") emissions levels the car meets, and that determines which towns and cities you can drive into.

Whatever i need so as not too upset the boys on blue

In a related matter I ordered the equivalent sticker for use in some French cities last week. It's about a third of the price of the German one!

I need to get around to doing this.... grrrr French bureaucracy :(. I don't object to the principal but they already have all the necessary data and the car registration has already been paid for (in France this fee is paid when you purchase the vehicle, not every year as in the UK).

Did you get conned? The German sticker is only 6 Euros from Berlin.de

Thanks for the comments. I don't see my '04 diesel Mercedes making the grade so, best option if I still want to go there? Park & ride into city?

Well, no. The French equivalent is €4.20 delivered to a French address. I thought that I read in one of the links I followed that the German one was about £10 so that was what I was basing my comment on. I haven't applied for a German one at all.

The French one is a bit dearer if delivered to the UK but still less than €6 I'm sure.
