I think this is the same sort of badge you need in France (and possibly elsewhere) to show which European ("Euro 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6") emissions levels the car meets, and that determines which towns and cities you can drive into.

I don't object to the principal but they already have all the necessary data and the car registration has already been paid for (in France this fee is paid when you purchase the vehicle, not every year as in the UK).If you mean police persons, they wear green and beige uniform, at least this is what I see in Krimi series.

Well, no. The French equivalent is €4.20 delivered to a French address. I thought that I read in one of the links I followed that the German one was about £10 so that was what I was basing my comment on. I haven't applied for a German one at all.
