Error: [Sky star 2] Device not started

Hi guys!
I have one problem with Sky Star 2 card and PrgoDVB. I installed driver properly, but when I start ProgDVB 6.32.08 I get the error: [Sky star 2] Device not started. What this means and what should I do about it ?

Go into options and deselect any cards that have being recognised during setup, then select skystar 2 driver, or ss1 driver. give it a go and get back to me, I never had much luck with prog v6 on win xp, (v4 worked better for me) but on win 7 it works ok
 
ok, I did as you suggested in version 6 on win xp. There is no error, but there is nothing to scan. I tried also with version 4, but there I also get same error: "Device not started". When I choose SkyStar 2 in the device list and click start the same error occurs..Other devices I cannot stop in version 4, nor disable in version 6.
 
Have you tried starting and stopping them in control panel........ admin..... services?
 
I would suggest 1st, reinstall driver v4.4.3 then rather than load ss2 driver try BDA if no luck try WDM driver
 
I have the Same Problem , I stop using ProgDvb and I am Using DreamDVB or AltDVB SkyStar2 PCI on Windows Xp Sp2 is woring Fine on both
