Escapes (country unknown but probably USA from the voice overs)

Hotbird 13D

Very similar to the UK based "Landscape Channel" - nice views & peaceful music. The screencap is of Worcester Cathedral.

Fta with only occasional voice overs in an America accent.

I rather like this one. Its tagged as Teradek TS.

Not yet on KoS or Flysat :D

hoi,

Today is the day! We welcome our new friends in Europe, N. Africa & Western Asia! Wishing your peace and relaxation! Say hello at htttp://www.escapestv.com

Anyone else seeing a jump on the video every 5 seconds or so?

I'll report it on their facebook page

eScapes headquarters are located in Monroe, Michigan, USA.

We just started 24/7 broadcasting of eScapes programming from Hotbird 13D and I appreciate the feedback. Our engineers are working on the issue.

Thank you Dragan I hope your engineers can find the issue quickly, and thank you for introducing a great new channel into Europe!

Best of luck with Escapes in Europe - and if you want any reception reports just ask, we have helped American channel owners with reception reports in the past :)

Maybe the conversion of the frame rate of the raw video material to 25fps? Actually this would rather be 50fps at the standard resolution 1280X720, which is the same resolution the german channels use at 19.2E.

I notice Servus TV HD use 1920 x 1080i, but agreed they are about the only one. Would be nice if this channel used the same resolution.

Right now eScapes is down, there is only an active PMT pid, but no video or audio pids.

eScapes is back on, though still with a 'hesitation' in sound and video.....

Getting it alright here.
Sound and vision seem to be ok.

It's not a problem with the signal but the frame rate or transmission. I agree on a fairly static landscape like mountains it's very hard to detect but if there is movement (trees in the wind, people walking) it appears jerky at times, like there is an occasional frame missing...

I see what you mean panning buldings is a little jerky.
People walking on the beach hesitate every few seconds.

People walking on the beach hesitate every few seconds.

I do that here...people in France tend not to clean up after their dogs

The picture is fine here now, watched that HUGE oil tanker glide past the camera. Nice channel.

Was watching escapes all the time to relax and chill but it has been encrypted for about 2 months now on my side of the pond- Galaxy 16-99w.
