EURO1080 operates several HD channels including a demo channel but transmit on other european satellites. Is it feasable for them to use the FREESAT system such as ITV(hd).

This would allow FREESAT to show to other broadcasters that they can either come on to HD or even switch from SKY.:-rofl2

Any channel is free to join Freesat if they are willing to pay the additional satellite transmission costs and the Freesat epg.

The first point seems unlikley as HD1080 are scaling their transmissions back from October 1st - HD1 & HD3 are dropping the Astra transmissions and will only be on 7E.

Would EURO 1080 be willing to come on to FREESAT if it was on the red button system that ITV use ? Once they are on the menu then other decent channels might come on.

If it concerns you so much why don't you ask them, how is anyone on a hobbyist satellite forum supposed to know the answer if they do not themselves

I very much doubt it - as the channel has cut its transmissions back they are hardly likely to start transmitting a new signal for a few thousand potential viewers.
