Eurovision Song Contest 2023

The Main feed is up again at 10968 but its QPSK so a lot less data rate than before :(

EDIT: And it just went off as soon as I said that

If you can't play 4:2:2 easily but have access to 7e, I'd tune into their new 11022 H 9875 'RoW' feed as its 4:2:0, It's for Rest Of World voting, basically has the entire show as usual but instead of telephone numbers in the graphics it directs you to the app.

or you can record the 4:2:2 feed to hard drive and play it back on PC.

I will record main feed, no commentary, no adds, insane picture quality, 8 channel uncompressed audio .

Rylan and Scott Mills were on the EBU News 3 muxx earlier, Im surprised the BBC are paying for time on that vs just rocking up with one of their news trucks outside the venue.

Maybe some sort of rule by the EBU only they can do that.

That's why PC with PCIe or USB tunner is best solution.

I am using tunners:
TeVii: s662, s470, s472
TBS: 5520SE

For decoding 4:2:2 feeds you have free open source LAV video filter:

best GPU for this codec is any nvdia card (CUDA support).

For software you have:
- TransEdit
- DVBViewer
- ProgDVB
- MPC-HC Releases · clsid2/mpc-hc
Or a GTMedia receiver

Hi, forgive me if this is a stupid question! But I'm new to the world of Satellites. I have a WinTV-NOVA-S2 USB. I understand some feeds are encrypted like BISS. If that's the case, is it the software that decrypts it or would I need to buy another USB or PCIe sat card that can decode these? I'm looking at buying DVBViewer.

When I last looked I was under the impression that Nvidia cards could only hardware decode 4:2:0 and 4:4:4, not 4:2:2 :-confused

Anyone seen BBC The One Show feed? Supposed to be live from Liverpool all week.

Very few encrypted services can easily be decoded these days - the days of multiple providers being easily opened are long gone. There are ways of getting some open but those cannot be discussed on this forum. Biss happens to be one of the easier ones to open if you can find the keys out on the web.

I think certain sat boxes open BISS like the GT Media combo 4k and even the old Technomate TM-5402 HD M3 ?

The TM5402 needs a flash applying (not been updated for at least 7 years) & you have to update the keys manually using the remote which is slow going. Only the old form of Biss can be opened so forget anything in Biss2. After my first TM5402 died I didnt bother flashing the replacement & just use it for fta & the selection of legit cards/cams Ive had over the years

Certainly would recommend the GT Media box if you dont want to faff around finding keys on dodgy websites, it does it for you automatically, though sometimes does take up to 10 minutes.

Oh yes forgot I think I did flash it soon after I bought it but never use this box now, wonder how much better the M4 is ?
