Fantastic - its clear enough to see the fairing separate at 100km altitude!

9.3km/sec Top stage cut off now and the last phase is a ballistic phase. It'll slow down a bit over the next 15 minutes, but the motor section stays attached to do orientation manoeuvers around the separation phase.

In whats informally known as a space ballet Eutel 25B will be pinged off in one direction, then the sylda is pinged off in another, and finally gsat7 is sent off in a third.

Just to avoid any unfortunate collisions!

launches are great fun. I have to admit I like the Ariane 5's :)

Ive been watching them for 10 years - dial up days wasnt fun when they were on line only - I once had one rocket go from the pad to about 500 feet in 2 frames :D

Blimey the Indians say they can deploy the solar panels 20 seconds after separation from the composite!

That is good going - its normally a few days before they are extended.

They seem to be in a hurry to get Gsat7 into service - 2 weeks before the payload is declared operational.

I was watching flight V157 when they dropped Hottie 7 & Stentor into the Atlantic back in Nov 2002. That was the last Ariane5 failure.
