Just noticed some activity on the satellite finder by the time the scan had finished the signal had gone.
It has to be Hotbird-6 / E33D as no other satellite here can go that low in the Ku band.
 
Test carriers also active between 12570 to 12700 vertical

Polsat feed, 12736V4444, antenna 100cm in Madrid (Spain).
7.50dB, señal/SNR 46%, calidad/AGC 93% y BER 39-84, sin problemas/No problem.

BELSA TV en 12509V2400 muy nublado/cloudy.
12.0dB, señal/SNR 75%, calidad/AGC 93% y BER 0.

Later in rain, the levels dropped somewhat, but holds up well.
Mas tarde con lluvia, bajaron algo los niveles, pero aguanta bien.
10.50dB, señal/SNR 65%, calidad/AGC 96% y BER 0, sin problemas/No problem.

Eutelsat has done some updating today.
33.1°E, Eutelsat 33C (previously 28A):

Now way 33C is putting out 52dBW across the southern Scotland..... That would indicate a 50cm dish is needed - Im barely picking her up on a 10 degree offset lnb on a 1.1m.
 
How do the signals compare? Here, both Belsat tv and Fransat Info HD are about 13 dB. Turf TV is 19 dB.

And 33B is still drifting East slowly like this.
I wonder if the loss of the second solar panel also means, a proper deorbit cannot be made?
 
Belsat has scanned in but no signal. No sign of the Fransats. Turf is normally ok but its foggy here tonight & no signal. I need to have a look at this lnb - it may be somewhat awry as I was getting Lider from 36E on it a few days ago!
 
Right AS, so all are coming in bad, indeed some adjusting to do if 36E gets through.

Cant do anything till the weekend at the earliest - its almost dark when I get home from work at this time of year :(

(Although the weather forecast for the weekend isnt great atm)

Belsat has always been a weak channel for me. the other transponders are a fair bit stronger.
 
There really is nothing whatsoever on 11430 H.
Turf TV and TTV AL1 both SID's belong to the same transponder 11430 V 10100.

Do H and V give the same quality of 60%?

No pal its a bit stronger but I can lose the H and still keep the best signal on V:) , you said that the other day thanks :)

Hope there is not an outbreak of myxomatosis, it could wipe out half the dishes in the country:eek:
