Means we too have a chance to get the Eutelsat 36e Sub-Sahara African beam in India ?

Adding more info to the above thread. We can get the Sub saharan African beam as well here in Malta on all freqs mentioned, I have included two Srceen shots of SuperSports HD (in clear) Signal in the range of 40 SNR with a Dreambox 8000 and a 1.5m Dish. A 1.2 Dish will do as well on most Freqs except on SuperSport which gave a pixeled picture.

I'm not in london, but still receiving some freqs further north in west yorkshire.

i get 63% SNR but doesnt show anything for eagle box....too weak...awww...with a 1.3m dish

Very interesting...

While being much closer to Africa than guys from UK, we can't get anything at all from that beam :)

even in India we have no signal on 4 meter dishes

Does anyone know why this is receivable in the uk? Side-lobe or something like that?

As I guess, drunk Russian space bus operator bended the reflector, while attaching satellite to carrier rocket :D

lol! but i guess MCA need to look at their beam a bit further - including noting that there is a demand for the africa beam elsewhere in the world....this century onwards it is time for integration not isolation of sat systems...

Hello,

11731 V 8751 (2/3) in DVB-S2 MPEG-2 8PSK.

NTV (Kenya), KBC Channel 1 and K24 started (in clear).

Weak signal here in Germany.

Best regards
Edgar.

I am really confused how you are able to get this Beam in Germany, even though INDIA is close to Africa.

What size dish you used dx qwer

I was just going to inform you that with an Fec of 2/3 is no good infact as you say it should be 3/5.

Hello Moradabad,

in KU band I use Kathrein CAS23 220cm PFA.

Best Regards
Edgar.

I am using a Gibertini 1.5 Dish. With this particular Freq I cannot receive it with a 1.2 m Dish, although the others Freqs of the sub saharan are receivable on a 1.2 Dish albeit not throughout the whole day. With the 1.5 m yes.
