Eutelsat 3A is the former Chinese bird Chinasat 5C / Sinosat 3 and has been leased or bought specifically to activate the new 3E orbital slot.
We know the old Chinasat 5C has Ku & C band capabilities, however the Eutelsat website doesnt specify which is going to be used at 3E. C-band was on the air in late July 2011.
This is the only footprint on the site - we will have to wait and see if its the Ku or C-band coverage!
