Good afternoon from a sunny Mullion Cove Cornwall : )

I am sure this is already common knowledge : )

I received Eutlast 5 West some months back, but it has now disappeared.

My C band dish is only 1.5 and receives four sats.

From readings on the web Eutelsat 5 West A sat was retired, but the replacement Eutelsat 5 West B had a solar panel that failed to extend ?

I read it is operational but not as excepted.

Can anyone confirm a similar reception problem ?

Good evening Tompouce,

Thank you for that, I read through the thread back towards its start as well.

I shall have to see if I can find any others satellites that are strong enough for my dish on C band.

20E for starters. Some of the tps on there are an easy catch

Good morning Analoguesat,

Yes I have that one it is very strong 78 quality on a Technomate MK3 channel South Sudan.

The other C band satellites I can receive are, 22 West and 11 West those may not be the correct positions.

5 West has now gone.

Good evening Moonbase,

Thank you for that information : )

The KU dish just reaches 45 East and 45 West.

The C band dish is stood off on the same pole, so it should reach further.

The Jack on the C band dish however is shorter, so this looks to be a good excuse to make another purchase. : )

I have a new KU LNB on order at the moment, a dual output one this time, so I can drive the KU dish with the Technomate M3 and also look for 4k stations with the AMIKO VIPER 4K : )

@Spiff

Have you visibility of 40.0E or 40.5W, they are both strong C-Band satellites?
Hallo Moonbase,

The C Band dish drove further west than I though, this I think is 40.5 West ?

Thank you again God Bless Spiff

Oh dear : )

Well not far out then LOL

Thank you for that Ozumo, it also tells me that my KU band dish which is directly above it, has some dodgy listings : )

A dual KU LNB should arrive on Monday or Tuesday, after that is installed I will sort things out on both bands.
