Facebook going under

Facebook is the worst thing that's happened to modern day society.
I do not agree twitter is 100 times worse as there is little or no regulation and moderation it is a free for all

I tried Twitter once, I could not get on with it so have no real experience with it. It's pretty bad then I take it?

Not a Twatter user and I despise Farcebook. But... It's a decent medium to keep in touch with people and it has decent groups - a lot seem to move away from traditional forums.

A lot of forums have moved to being groups on Facebook. But being a linear format I can't get on with it, it's very hard to look for specific information or viewing something again.

I haven't used facebook at all, never liked it from the beginning, still don't like it today, and it's annoying when things are integrating facebook things into their sites like it's a good thing (this forum sadly being one of those sites!), if it goes away, then thank goodness, humanity can get back outside and realise they can actually talk to each other in person...

Do you remember when kids (Teenage kids especially) didn't want to do anything their parents did or use a phone or computer they used as it wasn't "cool" and they were so self assured they were cool and thus different from these oldies........now every single one of them has a bloody iPhone the same as their dad, Grandad ect.....and their all on FB......every fecker has been added to the Borg collective! Its only a matter of time and I'll find myself ponying up £1000 for a phone that's got tech from years earlier......shhheeeesh

My first go with FB left me feeling as others do, but second time around I reined it in.

Using the FBPurity Extension is a must, though.

I use it chiefly for my Bell Ringing pastime: FB is a useful - and cost free - resource for creating Groups ...... they can be set up to resemble Forums and work very well indeed.
