I've been following all the discussions regarding the new Astra 2F satellite and the subsequent reception problems people have been having, particularly in Spain/Portugal, and I have noticed on several occasions the name "Famaval". So I made use of the web and checked them out, had a look round their site/products etc. I was noseying at their range of large prime focus dishes (1.4m to 3.1m) and I thought "they look familiar" Upon checking out "Satellite Superstore" I found the exact same Famaval dishes being sold as their "own brand" Primesat!Same dishes and mountings, fixed or polar mount. Not sure of prices in Spain/Portugal, they sure are not cheap on this site! (Although the service is good and the staff are very helpful) Is this common to rebrand this type of product? Are these products any good, the polar mounts look pretty sturdy.

Just noticed on the same site the polar mounts for the Channel Master 1.8m/2.4m dishes look like they are "adapted" Famaval ones as well.

Those are just mock-ups. The proper Famaval feed is a better choice in my opinion. And the Famaval 1.8m goes on an 80mm pole, and the 2.4m on a 100mm pole so they must be sleeving down to go on their 76mm stand. And 300 GBP for a groundstand seems a bit pricy to me. I pay about 40€ for the 80mm groundstand here.
