These are the names that this receiver is known as Fantacy Cubecafe Relook 250s Ab IPbox 250s PVR DGStaion Cubecafe Specifications MPEG-2 PSI, DVB-S, and DVB-SI Features Fast & Easy to use OSD Set all values for searching programs in one menu page Satellite List by exclusive RCU button Subtitle & Teletext (OSD) Aspect Ratio: 4:3, 16:9 LINUX open source(some parts under the terms of GPL, accordingly expandable) 4,000 Channels Programmable Powerful Channel Sorting and Grouping Favorite Channel Lists for TV Parental Control & Radio and Video Mode "ETHERNET SUPPORTED" and external PSTN modem(dial up modem) supported 3.5" HDD or 2.5" HDD possible and inner side of top cover mounted style CVBS, RGB, YUV, S-video supported Variable HDD Size is Applicable Multi TimeShifting Function - Unlimited trick play on any of Real Time Live Programs/ Recording Program/ Playback on Prerecorded Program Improved Features Powerful IBM Power PC implemented. Faster CPU performance : 350MIPS(252MHz) Dolby AC-3 (SPDIF output for High-Fi Audio) Faster channel change time between different TPs. (less then 1sec) Improved tuner sensitivity for high quality and better reception. Additional OSD language available. User friendly larger font size. Faster response between Remote Control Unit via STB It's sort of a dm500 with PVR and priced as such, you can install a hard drive and record whatever you want and even install some DM images. I guess you can have multiboot as well, but i still haven't tried much on it. As for the rest i have it up and running perfectly, thanks to my mate polo_, my real problem was with my shitty modem/router. It does what you expect a linux box can do. On the plus side - very fast zapping - ability to install plugins\games\skins over the internet - some DM images will work on this model along with all the included bonuses - it's not as cheap made as some dm models - looks and feels very solid - ability to stream tv to your desktop - remote control can control almost any tv - CS and other similar stuff works like a charm On the minus side - remote control PVR buttons are a bit too small - not that much support from the community, compared to the dm receivers - disecq feature is not standard, not that i had any issues with it works great with my vbox - not a dreambox (this one goes to the fan boys every where) Most of the dm utilities will work with this receiver. All in all it's much like a regular dreambox, but better looking IMO. Would be perfect if it had a high def tunner.
