Its been used on 16e for a few weeks, but today i decided to make the most of my day off and the sunshine and finally retired the Fracarro penta 85 in favour of the Gilbertini i had off Rick a few weeks back.

I've took a few weeks cleaning the Gilbertini up and it looks much better now than when i got it.

Signal levels are much better than they were on the Penta and i can now for the first time get the MBC channels of 26E :D

The Penta has seen me well for nearly 2 years and still looks as good now as it did the day i put it up

I'm now looking forward to doing some serious testing on some of the birds that have been a bit Iffy to get a good lock on with the penta.

Excellent work now you may be able to get some of the fringe reception satellites as well.

Gibertini do have a good reputation, is it aluminium or steel, do you happen to know the reflector dimensions? It would be interesting to see some reception figures from the weaker staellites like 5E/16E/26E.

One of the issues with holes/cracks in walls is that water can get in and if it freezes it could fracture the face of the brick.

Its aluminium and its 104 cms High, never measured the width of it for some unknown reason.

As for the holes in the house i really couldn't give a monkies as i don't own it :-lmao
Its taken me 2 years to get the housing association to fix the extractor fan in the bathroom, so i'm in no rush to fix the walls :D

I haven't acurately measured the reception on the sats you have suggested, but i do know that the when i set the dish up the MER readings on 1w were about 5dB better than the old Fracarro Penta it replaced.

I get no Bit Error Ratio readings on 5e, or 16e and on 26e MBC channels the BER is minimal at arround 200, most of the 26e channels show no BER.

BER on 4w is around 7000 but its still watchable most of the time. I'm looking at trying to get 31e and 11w when i get a bit of free time. 7w is still my main goal. I've managed to get it once about 5 years agao at about 2am in the morning with the same receiver, although it was with a cheap and nasty 90cm Global Orbit dish and an Mti Blueline 0.3dB lnb

I think it was more of a fluke in all honesty as i've never managed to get it since.

I get 7.2° west on my 1m Gibby or i should say Atlantic bird have not had a sniff of the old 7° west probably due to the bleed over from AB.

Where in the UK are you though? I'm in the West Midlands.

North West Manchester to be precise, i use to get 7° west on my old TM5402HD in the late evening the same as everyone else on my triax 1.1m, and even with the Gibby 1m but as soon as AB went live and i started using the Ultimo i could never get anything else apart from AB
