Hi Guys,

Not been on here in a while but good to see the forum is still going strong.

My question is can I use a multimeter to align a dish. Im doing it for a friend who has moved house and needs some help. I dont have my satmeter so was thinking to use a multimeter instead. Im guessing that the voltage should change somehow as the signal gets stronger but not sure how.

Anybody done this before?

Thanks

No, you'll need at least a £5 squawker to make your alignment ;)

you'll need special diode circuit to turn rf signal into d.c current to be used in conjunction with multimeter.otherwise ,no way to use mıltimeter only.
