Most of today's cars and trucks would never run on wood gas as most are now fuel injected.
We would have to switch back to carburetors, and they would have to be special types, also the engines would have to be run without all the EPA stuff.

Most of my vehicles are carburettor, unfortunately only one has wheels in the corners., and I sold the engine a while ago to upgrade to a different engine with injection and management.
It is possible to put a bank of carbs in place (that I have , just need to fabricate some manifold adapters)
