I don't know if I have a problem or the latest firefox is getting over sensitive.I have been getting a lot unsafe site warnings tonight.Normally I can add an exception. On the you tube one on the 'Is It Me Or' thread I cannot. It will not let me view the video.
Suggestions will be welcome

It seems to have been infiltrated by our very own Vipersan!

I use Firefox on Windows, Linux Mint, Lubuntu and Android and only very rarely get warnings.

Both Posts with embedded videos are fine for me.

Have you done all the usual actions like clearing cookies, rebooting etc?

Always a good idea for odd undiagnosable problems as most of them then go away.

And do initiate a Malware Bytes scan .....

I am not at my best just now.Been out for an hour.:)I got myself a new nas box a couple of days ago.I have been farting about with the web settings on that.I may have upset something.I will do the cookie clearing ETC to see if that sorts it.

Google "hsts error firefox" and lo, lots of hits.

Might be AntiVirus incompatibility issue: Ten gets one you're using Kaspersky.

Just using Windows Defender should be adequate these days.

Click the "Help" at the top of the page, then go to the "Restart FF with add-on's disabled" see what that does, there is also a trouble shooting info and a FF health report tab, those can be helpful, and sening that info back to FF will also help you sort it out.

Also what version of FF are you running??

"Help" "about FF" I'm on 49.0.1 with no problems.

Sorry for the delayed response.I have been busy elsewhere.I have done somethings to try and sort the problem though.Reinstalled firefox, emptied the certurl -urlcache amongst other things. All seems to be working exept the search engines. Not even DuckDuck Go.:)Mrs Ponti is doing a lot of Googling lately so for the time being I am on a older image from 7.10.16.This is working fine.Synology NAS is on and working well.I will be going back to the dodgy image at sometime to have another go at it.I will keep you posted.
Edit it was the latest version of firefox that was installed it was updating almost daily perhaps that had some thing to do with it.

First thing to check when SSL problems occur is the time/date settings. If your PC is more than 4 or five minutes off global time the certificates will not work.!!

It is working fine up to now.
The firefox version is 49.0.1.It was constantly updating on the other image. I have stopped automatic updates for now.I will see how it goes.

Well it has happend again.I have done a new install of windows 7.Only a few essentials installed.New Firefox installed.version 49 .0.2.Infact all that is installed is Macrium,Firefox,Wusofline is runnig,Core temp, to check that Wus is actualy doing something.Wus has been updating for a few hours now.About 200 updates methinks.
Edit I think that I will uninstall Core Temp. I think that I read somewhere that it can cause problems. Will keep you updated.:)

Just as a side note Barclays Bank give away free kaspersky software if you have internet banking. It's a very small option down the bottom on the screen.
