A bootfile or loader is what verifies and controls the transfer and inflation of firmware into the stb

Well I wasn't present at the conversation so I can only assume you are intending flashing your stb with some unofficial or patched software which with the correct keys entered will allow the decrytion of some pay tv services, but I am only guessing
You need to remember that this of course is highly illegal and carries no guarantees that your receiver will ever work again if you mess up the flash procedure, you have been warned

I can only assume that the keys and emulators within the patch are updated!

Firstly on which stb are wanting to do that on and why would you want to do that??? what advantage would you get. A loader is specifically designed for the particular chipsets incorporated in the stb so unless you have some very in depth information regarding the chipsets contained within you will probably just destroy things

My stb is ODS4000V, it is base on st5518 chipset. The supplier had lock the RS232 port and the scan for new sat function when it is booting. I am trying to get back the scan for new sat function (by upgrade the FTA firmware). So that why I am doing that.

ps: My card is out of date and I do not like to buy a new one. I would like to recive the new FTA chanel on the other sats.
