Hi All,

I have recently updated my PC TV cards to DVBS2 to that I can receive HD channels. All the FTA channels working but my card (currently an SD sub) doesn't seem to have an entitlement for Five HD which I believe is FTV. Do Sky automatically send this entitlement out or do you need to have your card paired to a HD box first?

Thanks.

I think you need an HD level card to get the HD versions of the ftv channels.

I don't have any HD boxes or subs but can see FTV HD channels such as Channel 5 HD, ITV1 HD and Channel 4 HD (before they went FTA) with my card (2 SD mixes).

Ah interesting thanks for that timo. :)

Now if there was actually anything worth watching on SD Ch5 let alone HD it might be worth getting a fsfs card :D

What, you don't want to see Jedward in HD?!

Hmm, have they ever been paired to a HD box in the past, or did you have to ring Sky at all? All other FTV and Sub channels work fine (That I have Subs for). It's just the Five HD that doesn't work.

Confirmed C5 HD does work on a none sky box using an SD "six mix" sub - SWMBO has gone out so Ive stuck our sky card in the Duo and its decoding fine using oscam/ccam combo.

And as expected the programming is awful :D

I wouldnt have bothered checking if timo hadnt said it would have worked :D

Any chance you can spit out your entitlements from oscam so I can see what's missing?

Just to confirm what Analoguesat said, my card hasn't been near an HD box or have any kind of HD sub or anything. I've never talked to Sky about switching on any HD stuff, I just assumed everyone would get the FTV HD like I have done for years (I only see the HD stuff when it's in the TM6900 but most of the time it's in it's paired Pace 2600C1 SD receiver).

Interesting, I have all them. I'll double check, but if it still doesn't work best I start stepping though code inside oscam to see if there are any errors with processing Five HD ECM's. I'll keep you posted.

The plot thickens, I got this at first with no picture

[videoguard2-reader] classD3 ins54: status 90 00 = ok but cw=00 -> channel not subscribed

then stopping Live TV and trying again a second time, ECM's were decoded. Looks like there could be an issue with oscam's processing of Channel 5 HD ECM messages
