flashing new image

do i have to save settings every time i flash a new image (*kernel_root_.img).
how can i save settings (with PCEditor?), how about LNB settings? are they erased to?

Just need to save the db.dat file in /var before flashing.

You can do that with PC Editor or by copying the file with your ftp application.
