Your picture is an Amos 2 footprint. There are four satellites on the link. The Amos 7 Pan Europe footprint is even less encouraging for the UK.

It's the Central European (I presume that's what CEE means) beam. Which for some reason is also shown on the Africa beam map. The Pan European beam just touches south east England.

4W fringe in Ku must be very difficult being so close to 5W?

I didn't realise it was fringe atm ? some transponders come in ok on a 1.2 dish, I will take a closer look and see what I get

Depends on whether you gentlemen can agree on the footprint, I suppose...

A quick check on the harder Amos 3 beam and I get a weak lock on this 1.2 dish overcast with drizzle


Hopefully my new dish wont have a problem with Amos 7, time will tell.
