Can anyone direct me to an updated Fortec Star Passion plus Channel settings.

Hi Bbigfoot, the channel list depends on which version of firmware you have installed on your Passion+ HD system.

The latest version so far is version 1.2.8 (pn2_av128fs_20100617) downloaded from the Fortec Star website.

I have trialled version 1.3.0 for Fortec, but this does not as yet list the new BBC 1 HD and BBC 4 channels.

You can read my post below to get some ideas to get round the problem for the moment until Fortec release an updated firmware version (it seems the EPG channel numbers are hard coded in the firmware).

If you need the VID’s, PID’s etc to program the list yourself then post again and I’ll post then up for you.

If you need to update the firmware then go to the Fortec Star website and make really sure you are downloading the correct firmware for your model before you try and upgrade it. Be warned if it does go wrong you will have to send it back to the company and they will charge you for re-flashing the unit.

My list has BBC HD and ITV 1 HD loaded, last week lost ITV 1 HD
and unable to download new channel in (Advanced Menu).

I have a lot of old frequancies not in us anymore. My list goes back to 2008.
2008 is the newest Fortec Star Passion Plus HD I can find.

hi we are new to this can someone help. We updated 22nd Dec p_av144.2 from fortecstar this changed all screen menus and we have now lost usb recording facility no usb menu only vcr. We tried to go back to v140 but will not accept this version
 
Do you have a Passion or a Passion+ ?

The Passion (for which V1.44 is appropriate but not the latest available - v1.45 is) has never recorded to USB.

The Passion+ (which does record to USB) is on V1.30 at the moment.

So it looks like you have loaded the wrong software onto your box.

You will have to contact FS Support, and get them to send you their Download Manager, and then update the correct version of firmware via the RS232 port.

thanks for your help we now need to find an rs232 9 pin female to usb any idea's
