Hi All,

I have for many years been able to use the forum using mobile internet on my mobile device. Using the same equipment over the last few weeks (I guess) the loading has stopped working.

Android 9
Chrome and duck duck go not working
EE network

Maybe ok for others?
Have there been any technical changes preventing the forum loading on mobile?

Somewhere in England (possibly?)!
FWIW but probably not very relevant, Firefox with duckduckgo works fine on my Android 12 Motorola G30 (and on W10/W11 PC's) on GiffGaff (and thus the underlying O2 network on which that is built).

Might be an idea to describe what happens when you try to run Chrome+DDG, and also if you choose different browser and search engine combinations.

PS: ignore "Fijian01" at the top!

After further investigation by entering the address directly into the address bar and then clicking around, the forum does eventually load but very slowly, takes about 10 seconds at least.
No problem loading other sites using the same EE SIM.
I have another EE SIM in an Android 6 phone with the same behaviour regardless of browser.

WiFi has always been fine.
Have used 2 different phones with an EE 4g connection both same behaviour.
Reports coming in from members saying theirs is working, if so do you have an EE SIM?

I think it may be something to do with posts being allowed from non logged in users?
If a member loses their login details and need to contact the forum admin for assistance in regaining access this section is where they would post.

Presumably, due to non logged in users being able to post, all the posts require moderation before being approved for visibility on the forum?

Must admit that I regularly forget to do that when similar problems happen on the PC's - which, BTW, seem to happen quite a lot with Firefox+DDG, and so I then use Chrome+DDG, which usually does work.

Therefore I think this, and a lot of similar problems, are due to either the browser &/or the search engine not being set up "correctly" - but TBH it's generally difficult for the "average guy" to know how to actually "set them up correctly", and thus what/what-not settings to apply because of the very complex options menus. Thus we tend to live with what we have because that "works most of the time", and then "work around" that when it doesn't! :(

@ozumo : any chance that you could get someone on the Staff to look into why & how this is happening - and then remove the requirement if it's not relevant/important?
