Hi - I notice that there is no mention of cable receivers in the thread

although this one of the proscribed subjects. Should it not be there? Am only asking because I want to start a thread on an ADSL TV decoder that I've just had the misfortune to come across and wanted to verify if discussion of such beasts is also verboten :)
 
We dont allow cable chat on the forum. - this dates back to when Virgin was easily hacked and forums were flooded with requests for keys every few weeks..

BT type ADSL chat is ok.

thanks AS, will be discussing an SFR ADSL box shortly then :) I know cable chat is banned, was just wondering if this should be added to the Forum Rules post I mentioned above :)
 
Yes its probably time that rule was updated - ADSL tv wasnt really available when it was made!

probably best if tyou add to the post its an adsl receiver rather than a cable, (although the distinction is blurring these days)
