No way it's 33kg... 20 sounds a lot too. I'd say for the dish itself, it's around 15kg or less. 33kg probably includes all the mounts, bolts, arms and packaging itself.

Would that be for the 1.2m?
I'm trying to work out if the 1m would come under 15kg with the arms, lnb holder and backplate as its a lower delivery price bracket. :)

Could be very useful thank you. I assume with the 1.0m I reduce the weight by 20%?

I weigh 7.5kg more holding the dish than without it, so with all the other auxiliaries, LNB holder, arms, etc. I'd expect it to be around 10kg.

Sorry, this is the 1m one. I don't have 1.2m on me (that's at my parents' place). st1 did reply with precise measurements for the 1.2m above.

At the moment, just the 2 dishes to go. I am happy to tape the arms and holder to the dish and put on an address label. To be fair I do not wish to spend time getting packing materials etc to make them safer for transit. Fine if its something I can pop into a box but a 1.2m dish needs a big box. Hope no one is offended by my being unable to help further.

Im willing to arrange courier for both.
The 1.0m at 10kg service.
The 1.2m at 15kg service.
Do other forum members think TJExcalibur's packaging suggestion sounds ok, will the transport process likely damage the items? (Hard to say I'm guessing)

Judging by the fact that TJExcalibur is a forum Specialist Contributor with a good knowledge of dishes and related items, I´m sure the package will arrive with minimal, no not correct, no damage. I´m sure TJ was brought up with Blue Peter, like myself, so I assume he will use the appropriate amount of washing up liquid bottles, egg cartons and sticky back plastic to ensure all arrives in a safe and undamaged way!

Just thinking will the arms allow me to add a 40mm lnb?
I'm starting to think transportation of the goods had become unviable due to stories I read about parcelforce. Might be best for someone else to have them.

LAST CHANCE OR ITS THE TIP.
CM 1.2 with arms, lnb holder
CM 1M with arms lnb holder.
Back plate for the 1m dish may fit the 1.2.

Buyer arranges collection and I can tape split pipe insulation(at cost of the insulation) around the perimeter of the dishes if it helps with the arms/lnb holder taped to the dish.

TJ, why not put it up on eBay? You'll get some money for it and it'll get a good home. It's *such* a waste (no pun intended) to take it to the tip.

What's the matter with the egg boxes and fairy liquid bottle protection!

If no one here wants them i will try again at 99p start. Thought like minded here deserves first chance.

What's the matter with the egg boxes and fairy liquid bottle protection!

The egg boxes we get are brittle plastic and Fairy liquid lasts twice as long as all others so we only use 2 bottles a year.
