Advice Needed Freesat card not working in DM800??

Just got a freesat card of ebay (Sky grey card).
Trying to get it to working on my DM800 running CCcam 2.3.0.

Does not see Sky News HD or Channel 5HD.
Not sure what I need to do to get working.

The 2 HD channels you mention are only available on Sky sub cards that include the HD option. Freesat from Sky cards are very limited with respect to the channels they give you over and above the free to air ones. If I remember right only a handful of Sony channels, maybe Motors TV and not much else.

Indeed you do....and without a card. Don't confuse Freesat with Freesat From Sky which (as mentioned earlier) only gives you very few additional channels. I also believe it's getting more difficult to make the card work in non-Sky stb's.
 
Once the card has run out of its entitlements you may have problems waking it up again unless you stick it in an old Sky box.
 
If the receiver is setup correctly with the appropriate Cam it will wake and Use any Freesat for Sky Card.

The Wake up part could take anything from a few days etc...

Here's the problem. Have I set it up properly?

I seen to recall other people, with cards, using Oscam, not CCcam, but as I don't even watch the FTA channels, on 28.2E, I've never tried any cards.
 
I believe that C5HD and Sky News HD need a subscription card at least minimum level. They are not available on a Freesat from Sky (or expired subscription) card.
 
None of the HD channels will work on any other type of receiver apart from an Official one, and as above CH5 Hd and Sky News HD are part of the subscription base pack

CCam or Oscam will still work for the remaining Sky FTV channels if the Cam/Configs are setup correctly

Is there any freesat add ons for Openpli, I read there was somewhere?

Off topic I see you are running a Intel NUC i5 Running Openelec Kodi 14. I'm using a Cubox i4 with Openelec and dont like it. Wish I'd gone the NUC rout. I'm having all sorts of problems with remote controls, boot settings and I miss RDT like crazy.
 
just checked a card here using OScam and the current SD encrypted channel list with FSFS card

a quick google with get you the configs you need... as stated there are no HD channels available unless you pay apart from the FTA ones BBC1/BBC2/BBC3/BBC4/CBEEBIES/CBBC/BBCNEWS/,ITV1HD/C4HD

STV Glasgow & STV Edinburgh

plus the test of Notts TV should be ftv although as mine has currently run out of entitlements again Ive not been able to check.
