FREESAT EPG Boo Hoo!

So I was sold a Technomate 5200D+ Super because it wasn't too expensive and I said I wanted a system which was good, but could definitely record from. I had a 500GIG USB disk, so I thought that USB capable was all I needed. I bought a dish and took it all home. Subscribed to this BRILLIANT SITE (CROWD CHEERS!) and got everything working for FREESAT and was happy.

My Technomate is a really cracking picture for the money, so I thought I was doing really well. My wife wanted to record a programme Saturday night.... Hmmm that's funny I only get the now and next programmes.

So you all know the problem, and now so do I. The box isn't a licenced version, so doesn't decode the EPG properly.

So can I resolve this issue with my Tehcnomate, or will it always be thus? Any info gratefully received. THANKS.
 
The Technomate isn't a Freesat receiver so it will only ever get you now and next information.

Nope, it can't be resolved, as there is probably no incentive for the coders to make it work.

To do what you want, you need a Humax HDR, a twin tunered PVR for Freesat.
