Hi all

my inlaws are thinking of getting a freesat box to take back to bad ouynhausen nr Hannover.
They already have a sky box over there that works fine So I recon a freesat box should be ok to.Do you think this will be ok and what should they do about a postcode can they use mine ?

Yes they can use yours. Check that they can get the FTA BBC and ITV channels from Astra 2D with their dish. They also need Eurobird 1, not sure which transponder though.

Thanks for that , Why do they need eurobird ?.
Have recomended that they get a humax HD box.:confused

Technomate 5402 HD M2 Ci, DM7000s, Transparent 80cm Dish, Moteck SG2100 DiseqC motor, lots of legacy gear. Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Promax HD Ranger+ spectrum analyser.

The EPG (Electronic Programme Guide) downloads from Eurobird, without that the receiver will not function as a Freesat box. _http://www.lyngsat.com/eb1.html should be easily receivable from Germany.:)
