my friend is renting a house on a short term let,and is trying to find out if any of the set top aerials are good enough to pull in a signal for freeview.the house does not have an aerial by the way.the house is in worcestershire not sure where the nearest transmitter is.any info welcomed, cheers.

You need to post the postcode into the Freeview postcode checker to get a rough idea and even then, he could be in a good reception area, but the house could be in a dip. Portable aerials will work well in some circumstances, but not if there are other buildings in the way.

You can enter a postcode to see whether freeview is obtainable in the area.

Reception of terrestial tv is dependant on local conditions.
Go into a nearby tv retailer for advice.
