ftp can some1 please help me???

i am tring to ftp newcamd to pc from dream7000 i have tried using dcc2.7 & flashfxp ,,and both connect fine but when i press mount/ unmount on remote it always fails dont think i have dreambox end set up right can someone please tell me how to setup this part ....many thanks in advance cheers:confused: :confused: :confused: :-Nooo
 
Mount/ unmount have nothing to do with FTP or emus.

If you can't do an install from the addons (via the Internet), get a tar.gz newcamd from IHAD. Then use an FTP program e.g. FileZilla or CuteFTP, upload it to your /tmp folder on your Dreambox.

You can then install it from the Blue Panel > addons > manual install.

Please read the Idiot's Guide if you haven't already.

i got this worked out last night edited newcamd and entered keys was happy ,,,however now i have f$$ked up and tried to load new image with dreamup and didnt realise power was still on ,,what damage is done as wont boot (stays on dream multimedia on lcd) can this be fixed ,,,,please help went from a high to a very low in 24hrs ....please please help me

This is the Dreambox World... ;)

You won't have done any damage. Reflash it (make sure you have the correct version of DreamUP) with a null modem cable and follow the instructions carefully.

Before reflashing pull out the power cable for 30 seconds and reconnect- if it still doesn't boot try a reflash.

Its only a couple of days, another few should see him up and running again. Dont know how many times i reflashed, my finger still hurts..lol
 
sometimes when all seemed lost i have tried a flash erase first, before the null modem option... sometimes works

always worth a try :)
